Info
Saskia Schoenmaker (1983) graduated cum laude in 2007 from the Amsterdam Fashion Institute with her menswear collection 'Lack of Mirrors'. During her studies she did internships at Joline Jolink, WOLF-vanBenthum and Running Dogs (menswear).

Saskia has a fresh look on menswear. She uses classic elements of men's clothing in a new way, in which she never loses her eye for detail. Saskia has a preference for the Japanese way of thinking and designing clothes. By playing with patterns she manages to make eacht garment technically interesting; gyration, moved seams and asymmetry are recurring aspects of her designs.

Because Saskia strives for a certain kind of imperfection (which can be in a small detail) in all of her designs, they never look artificial.

Apart from creating her own work, Saskia has designed for Francisco van Benthum's menswear label, as well as working on a number of projects with other artists. She is currently working for Alexander van Slobbe.
